Central government net borrowing requirement on a cash basis: January-March 2025

In January-March 2025, the central government cash balance recorded a surplus of €1,465 million, compared to a deficit of €359 million in the same period of 2024. During this period, ordinary budget revenue amounted to €16,852 million, compared to €14,861 million in the corresponding period of last year. Ordinary budget expenditure amounted to €15,478 million, from €14,343 million in January-March 2024.
