Central government net borrowing requirement on a cash basis: January-September 2025

In January-September 2025, the central government cash balance recorded a surplus of €3,133 million, compared to a surplus of €1,870 million in the same period of 2024. During this period, ordinary budget revenue amounted to €53,923 million, compared to €49,269 million in the corresponding period of last year. Ordinary budget expenditure amounted to €46,812 million, from €43,665 million in January-September 2024.
