In performing its supervisory tasks, the Bank of Greece may impose administrative penalties and other administrative measures on supervised entities in cases of non-compliance with the legal and regulatory framework.

Administrative penalties include pecuniary penalties, which, as a rule, take the form of a fine in favour of the Greek State.
