The Bank of Greece publishes on a monthly (or quarterly) basis data on bank deposits and credit, as well as on the key monetary aggregates.
Monetary and banking statistics are derived from the monthly balance sheets which monetary financial institutions (MFIs) are required to submit to the Bank of Greece, in accordance with the relevant Bank of Greece Governor’s Acts.
MFIs comprise the Bank of Greece, credit institutions authorised in Greece, and money market funds. The full list of euro area MFIs is published on the website of the European Central Bank (ECB).
