Central government net borrowing requirement on a cash basis: January-September 2017

In January-September 2017, the central government cash balance recorded a deficit of €1,067 million, compared to a deficit of €1,144 million in the same period of 2016. During this period, ordinary budget revenue amounted to €34,065 million, compared to €34,851 million in the corresponding period of last year. Ordinary budget expenditure, including expenditure of about €1,696 million for the repayment of arrears compared to €2,029 million last year, amounted to €37,664 million, from €36,051 million in January-September 2016.
