Central government net borrowing requirement on a cash basis: January-December 2025

In January-December 2025, the central government cash balance recorded a surplus of €973 million, compared to a surplus of €1,031 million in the same period of 2024. During this period, ordinary budget revenue amounted to €73,938 million, compared to €69,434 million in the corresponding period of last year. Ordinary budget expenditure amounted to €65,875 million, from €63,428 million in January-December 2024.
