Central government net borrowing requirement on a cash basis: January-October 2016

In January-October 2016, the central government cash balance recorded a deficit of €908 million, compared to a deficit of €954 million in the same period in 2015. During this period, ordinary budget revenue amounted to €39,101 million, compared to €35,544 million in the corresponding period of last year. Revenue of €43 million regarding Securities Markets Programme (SMP) income transfers from the Bank of Greece is excluded. Ordinary budget expenditure, including expenditure of about €2,242 million for the repayment of arrears, amounted to €39,945 million, from €37,305 million in January-October 2015.
