Central government net borrowing requirement on a cash basis: January-March 2023

In January-March 2023, the central government cash balance recorded a deficit of €383 million, compared to a deficit of €4,481 million in the same period of 2022. During this period, ordinary budget revenue amounted to €13,898 million, compared to €11,842 million in the corresponding period of last year. Ordinary budget expenditure amounted to €15,454 million, from €14,976 million in January-March 2022.
