Central government net borrowing requirement on a cash basis: January-February 2024

In January-February 2024, the central government cash balance recorded a surplus of €346 million, compared to a surplus of €1,299 million in the same period of 2023. During this period, ordinary budget revenue amounted to €10,696 million, compared to €9,613 million in the corresponding period of last year. Ordinary budget expenditure amounted to €9,552 million, from €9,524 million in January-February 2023.
