Bank credit to the domestic private sector: November 2015

In November 2015, the annual growth rate of total credit extended to the domestic private sector stood at -2.2% from -2.0% in the previous month. The monthly net flow of total credit to the domestic private sector was negative at €458 million, compared with a negative net flow of €412 million in the previous month.

Credit to corporations

In November 2015, the monthly net flow of credit to corporations was negative at €176 million, compared with a negative net flow of €224 million in the previous month, while the annual growth rate of credit stood at -1.4%, against -1.2% in the previous month. In particular, the annual growth rate of credit to non-financial corporations stood at -1.8% in November 2015, from -1.6% in October 2015, while the monthly net flow of credit to non-financial corporations was negative at €183 million, against a negative net flow of €99 million in the previous month. The annual growth rate of credit to insurance corporations and other financial intermediaries stood at 3.7% in November 2015, from 3.9% in the previous month, and the monthly net flow of credit was positive at €6 million, compared with a negative net flow of €125 million in the previous month.

Credit to sole proprietors and unincorporated partnerships

In November 2015, the monthly net flow of credit to sole proprietors and unincorporated partnerships was negative at €25 million, compared with a negative net flow of €12 million in the previous month, while its annual growth rate stood at -0.6%, against -0.5% in the previous month.

Credit to individuals and private non-profit institutions

In November 2015, the monthly net flow of credit to individuals and private non-profit institutions was negative at €256 million, compared with a negative net flow of €177 million in the previous month, and its annual growth rate stood at -3.2%, from -3.0% in the previous month.
