It is hereby announced that Mr Yannis Stournaras was reappointed as Governor of the Bank of Greece, for a six-year term, effective from 27 June 2026, under Presidential Decree No 33/9.6.2026 (Government Gazette Α 89/9.6.2026). Mr Stournaras was sworn in on 24 June 2026 before the President of the Hellenic Republic, in accordance with Article 22 of the Bank’s Statute.
Following the above, the General Council of the Bank of Greece convened in session this Monday, 13 July 2026, and was duly constituted as a body as follows:
