Central government net borrowing requirement on a cash basis: January - May 2015

In January-May 2015, the central government cash balance recorded a deficit of €1,703 million, compared to a deficit of €1,875 million in the same period in 2014. During this period, ordinary budget revenue amounted to €16,286 million, compared to €18,129 million in the corresponding period of last year. Revenue of €55 million regarding Securities Markets Programme (SMP) income transfers from the Bank of Greece is excluded. Ordinary budget expenditure amounted to €18,451 million, from €20,210 million in January-May 2014.
