04/07/2018 - Press Releases
The open data portal of the Bank of Greece has been launched:
https://opendata.bankofgreece.gr/en/home
This portal gives researchers and the public at large access to statistical datasets in machine-readable format, i.e. in a format that can be easily read and processed by a computer. The data are collected, processed and published in conformity with international open data standards.
The Bank of Greece collects, processes and publishes statistics on the Greek economy and conducts special statistical surveys. The Bank also collects statistics from monetary financial institutions, i.e. banks and money market funds. The portal will be gradually expanded as new datasets become available.
Background:
In March 2017, the Bank of Greece signed a cooperation framework agreement with the non-profit organisation Greek Free/Open-Source Software (GFOSS) on mutual cooperation, in such areas as the provision and use of open data, open-standard interoperability and information system security analysis.
