Central government net borrowing requirement on a cash basis: January 2012

In January 2012, the central government cash balance showed a surplus of 865 million euro, compared with a surplus of 352 million euro in 2011. During the first month of 2012, ordinary budget revenue increased to 5,077 million euro, from 4,961 million euro in January 2011. Ordinary budget expenditure decreased to 4,121 million euro from 4,240 million euro in January 2011.
