Central government net borrowing requirement on a cash basis: January-April 2016

In January-April 2016, the central government cash balance recorded a surplus of €205 million, compared to a deficit of €1,490 million in the same period in 2015. During this period, ordinary budget revenue amounted to €14,125 million, compared to €13,467 million in the corresponding period of last year. Revenue of €43 million regarding Securities Markets Programme (SMP) income transfers from the Bank of Greece is excluded. Ordinary budget expenditure amounted to €14,902 million, from €15,136 million in January-April 2015.
