Central government net borrowing requirement on a cash basis: January-June 2023

In January-June 2023, the central government cash balance recorded a deficit of €2,906 million, compared to a deficit of €7,847 million in the same period of 2022. During this period, ordinary budget revenue amounted to €27,838 million, compared to €24,187 million in the corresponding period of last year. Ordinary budget expenditure amounted to €29,738 million, from €30,034 million in January-June 2022.
