Central government net borrowing requirement on a cash basis: January-May 2022

In January-May 2022, the central government cash balance recorded a deficit of €4,994 million, compared to a deficit of €11,578 million in the same period of 2021. During this period, ordinary budget revenue amounted to €19,924 million, compared to €16,514 million in the corresponding period of last year. Ordinary budget expenditure amounted to €24,569 million, from €26,764 million in January-May 2021.
