Central government net borrowing requirement on a cash basis: January-March 2024

In January-March 2024, the central government cash balance recorded a deficit of €359 million, compared to a deficit of €383 million in the same period of 2023. During this period, ordinary budget revenue amounted to €14,681 million, compared to €13,898 million in the corresponding period of last year. Ordinary budget expenditure amounted to €14,343 million, from €15,454 million in January-March 2023.
