Central government net borrowing requirement on a cash basis: January-February 2023

In January-February 2023, the central government cash balance recorded a surplus of €1,299 million, compared to a deficit of €1,363 million in the same period of 2022. During this period, ordinary budget revenue amounted to €9,613 million, compared to €7,795 million in the corresponding period of last year. Ordinary budget expenditure amounted to €9,524 million, from €8,521 million in January-February 2022.
