Central government net borrowing requirement on a cash basis: January-April 2024

In January-April 2024, the central government cash balance recorded a deficit of €570 million, compared to a deficit of €1,915 million in the same period of 2023. During this period, ordinary budget revenue amounted to €20,612 million, compared to €17,785 million in the corresponding period of last year. Ordinary budget expenditure amounted to €19,521 million, from €19,902 million in January-April 2023.
