Bank Lending Survey (BLS) 1, 2 – Q3 2016
Loans to non-financial corporations
In the third quarter of 2016, credit standards and the demand for loans to non-financial corporations (NFCs) remained broadly unchanged (see Chart 1 and 2) compared with the second quarter of 2016, in line with expectations expressed in the previous quarterly survey round. Moreover, banks expect that credit standards and demand will remain unchanged during the fourth quarter of 2016.
The terms and conditions for loans to NFCs remained unchanged in the third quarter of 2016.
The share of rejected applications for loans to enterprises remained also unchanged during the third quarter of 2016 (see Chart 3).
Loans to households
In the third quarter of 2016, credit standards and demand for loans to households remained broadly unchanged (see Chart 1 and 2) compared with the second quarter of 2016, in line with expectations expressed in the previous survey round. Banks expect that credit standards and demand will also remain unchanged during the fourth quarter of 2016.
The terms and conditions for loans to households remained broadly unchanged in the third quarter of 2016.
The share of rejected applications for loans to households somewhat increased during the third quarter of 2016 (see Chart 3).
