Central government net borrowing requirement on a cash basis: January-October 2017

In January-October 2017, the central government cash balance recorded a deficit of €567 million, compared to a deficit of €908 million in the same period of 2016. During this period, ordinary budget revenue amounted to €38,667 million, compared to €39,101 million in the corresponding period of last year. Ordinary budget expenditure, including expenditure of about €1,710 million for the repayment of arrears (compared to €2,242 million last year), amounted to €41,638 million, from €39,945 million in January-October 2016.
