Central government net borrowing requirement on a cash basis: January 2019

In January 2019, the central government cash balance recorded a deficit of €415 million, compared to a surplus of €1,098 million in the same month of 2018. During this month, ordinary budget revenue amounted to €3,931 million, compared to €4,159 million in the corresponding month of last year. Ordinary budget expenditure amounted to €4,406 million, from €3,043 million in January 2018.
