Central government net borrowing requirement on a cash basis: February 2014

In January-February 2014, the central government cash balance showed a surplus of 221 million euro, compared to a deficit of 1,395 million euro in the same period in 2013. During this period, ordinary budget revenue amounted to 7,951 million euro, compared to 7,483 million euro in the corresponding period of last year. Ordinary budget expenditure, including expenditure of about 20 million euro for the repayment of arrears, amounted to 8,547 million euro, from 9,317 million euro in January-February 2013.
