Central government net borrowing requirement on a cash basis, January-March 2021

In January-March 2021, the central government cash balance recorded a deficit of €6,840 million, compared to a deficit of €3,469 million in the same period of 2020. During this period, ordinary budget revenue amounted to €10,179 million, compared to €10,635 million in the corresponding period of last year. Ordinary budget expenditure amounted to €16,057 million, from €13,863 million in January-March 2020.
