Central government net borrowing requirement on a cash basis: January-October 2024

In January-October 2024, the central government cash balance recorded a surplus of €7,043 million, compared to a surplus of €93 million in the same period of 2023. During this period, ordinary budget revenue amounted to €55,699 million, compared to €50,714 million in the corresponding period of last year. Ordinary budget expenditure amounted to €48,453 million, from €47,811 million in January-October 2023.
