Central government net borrowing requirement on a cash basis: January-March 2018

In January-March 2018, the central government cash balance recorded a deficit of €99 million, compared to a deficit of €251 million in the same period of 2017. During this period, ordinary budget revenue amounted to €11,331 million, compared to €10,718 million in the corresponding period of last year. Ordinary budget expenditure, including expenditure of about €457 million for the repayment of arrears (compared to €432 million last year), amounted to €11,911 million, from €12,913 million in January-March 2017.
