Central government net borrowing requirement on a cash basis: January-June 2024

In January-June 2024, the central government cash balance recorded a deficit of €1,558 million, compared to a deficit of €2,906 million in the same period of 2023. During this period, ordinary budget revenue amounted to €29,999 million, compared to €27,838 million in the corresponding period of last year. Ordinary budget expenditure amounted to €29,117 million, from €29,738 million in January-June 2023.
