Central government net borrowing requirement on a cash basis: January 2022

In January 2022, the central government cash balance recorded a deficit of €1,682 million, compared to a deficit of €1,726 million in the same month of 2021. During this month, ordinary budget revenue amounted to €3,157 million, compared to €3,046 million in the corresponding month of last year. Ordinary budget expenditure amounted to €4,333 million, from €4,366 million in January 2021.
