Central government net borrowing requirement on a cash basis, January-July 2025

In January-July 2025, the central government cash balance recorded a surplus of €1,859 million, compared to a surplus of €338 million in the same period of 2024. During this period, ordinary budget revenue amounted to €40,827 million, compared to €37,523 million in the corresponding period of last year. Ordinary budget expenditure amounted to €36,645 million, from €34,256 million in January-July 2024.
