Central government net borrowing requirement on a cash basis: January-June 2026

In January-June 2026, the central government cash balance recorded a deficit of €3,161 million, compared to a deficit of €465 million in the same period of 2025. During this period, ordinary budget revenue amounted to €33,744 million, compared to €32,550 million in the corresponding period of last year. Ordinary budget expenditure amounted to €34,890 million, from €31,605 million in January-June 2025.
