The services balance records financial flows (receipts and payments) stemming from transactions between Greek residents and non-residents related to the provision of services.
The services balance records all individual categories of services, as defined in the ‘Manual on Statistics of International Trade in Services’ (2010) of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).
Statistical data on all categories of services except travel services and sea transport services are reported directly to the Bank of Greece by the transacting parties through the DIREQT system, and by the resident monetary financial institutions intermediating in the settlement of such transactions.
