The book summarizes the main points of the honorary event for Nassos Detzortzis, an important man of Greek letters and once employee of the Bank of Greece; the venue of the event was at the central building of the Bank; the event took place on 19 December 2016.

Following an opening statement by the Governor of Bank of Greece, Mr. Yannis Stournaras, speeches on Nassos Detzortzis were delivered by people with knowledge of his life and work: the Assistant Professor of European Literature at the Hellenic Open University and step daughter of his, Ms. Antigone Vlavianou; the member of the Academy of Athens, poetesse Ms. Kiki Dimoula; the author-columnist Mr. Takis Theodoropoulos. The event was moderated by Mr. Nikos Karapidakis, professor of History at the Ionian University, chairman of the Bureau of General State Archives, and director of the iconic literary magazine Nea Estia. The book, apart from the text of statements and speeches, also includes photographs from the event.
