Security Directorate

Main Tasks

The main tasks of the Security Directorate are to implement concrete security measures to safeguard the Bank’s interests. In particular, the Security Directorate is responsible for: 

  • the physical security and safety of  the Bank’s management, staff and customers;
  • the safekeeping and secure transport of cash and other valuables;
  • guarding the Bank’s property;
  • keeping watch over transaction areas to ensure order; and
  • preventing and responding to emergency situations on the Bank’s premises.

The Security Directorate comprises the following Divisions:

  • Cash Transport Security Division
  • Secretariat and Driνers Division
  • Single Alarm Receiνing Centre Operation and Monitoring Division
  • Administration's Security Division
  • Athens Premises Security Division
  • Thessaloniki Premises Security Division
  • Halandri Premises Security Division
  • Emergency Planning Office
