We inform users of the electronic appointment booking service for cash transactions that a record of non‑sensitive personal data is kept and that such data is processed for the purpose of determining the time and place of meetings with Bank of Greece staff for customer service. The processing is necessary in accordance with Article 6(1)(c) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The protection of personal data within the electronic appointment system is governed by the GDPR and national legislation. The personal data that will be processed for the appointment booking are the following:
Tax Identification Number (TIN) 
First Name
Last Name
Father’s Name
Year of Birth  

These data may be processed using automated and/or non‑automated methods.

Recipients

The above personal data are not forwarded or disclosed to third parties, except for the competent employees of the Bank of Greece. Only authorized staff members of the Bank of Greece, who have been duly informed of their legal obligations and professional ethics, handle the processing of personal data under the conditions mentioned above.

The competent officer for personal data matters is the head of the Cash Directorate of the Bank of Greece (email: dep.cash@bankofgreece.gr) and the Data Protection Officer of the Bank of Greece (email: dpo@bankofgreece.gr).

Data Retention Period

The Bank of Greece stores personal data for 5 years after the relevant request.
