Electronic Secondary Securities Market (HDAT) Members
HDAT membership can be awarded to domestic and foreign credit and financial institutions or investment firms. Foreign institutions accepted as remote participants in HDAT must use a domestic credit institution, as a custodian, to settle their transactions. Subject to certain requirements, HDAT members may be awarded either Dealer or Primary Dealer status.
At the end of each calendar year, the Bank of Greece issues a press release, specifying which HDAT members will have earned Primary Dealer status for the following year. Every six months, the Bank also issues a press release ranking Primary Dealers according to their performance in the Greek government bond market.
