Central government net borrowing requirement on a cash basis: January - April 2018

In January-April 2018, the central government cash balance recorded a deficit of €599 million, compared to a deficit of €188 million in the same period of 2017. During this period, ordinary budget revenue amounted to €14,530 million, compared to €13,468 million in the corresponding period of last year. Ordinary budget expenditure, including expenditure of about €464 million for the repayment of arrears (compared to €544 million last year), amounted to €15,380 million, from €16,512 million in January-April 2017.
