Central government net borrowing requirement on a cash basis: January-June 2018

In January-June 2018, the central government cash balance recorded a deficit of €2,055 million, compared to a deficit of €890 million in the same period of 2017. During this period, ordinary budget revenue amounted to €21,911 million, compared to €20,336 million in the corresponding period of last year. Ordinary budget expenditure, including expenditure of about €672 million for the repayment of arrears (compared to €799 million last year), amounted to €24,520 million, from €23,962 million in January-June 2017.
