Central government net borrowing requirement on a cash basis: January-July 2017

In January-July 2017, the central government cash balance recorded a deficit of €1,378 million, compared to a deficit of €1,807 million in the same period of 2016. During this period, ordinary budget revenue amounted to €24,945 million, compared to €25,442 million in the corresponding period of last year. Ordinary budget expenditure, including expenditure of about €1,105 million for the repayment of arrears, amounted to €29,143 million, from €27,736 million in January-July 2016.
