Central government net borrowing requirement on a cash basis: January-May 2016

In January-May 2016, the central government cash balance recorded a deficit of €208 million, compared to a deficit of €1,703 million in the same period in 2015. During this period, ordinary budget revenue amounted to €17,175 million, compared to €16,286 million in the corresponding period of last year. Revenue of €43 million regarding Securities Markets Programme (SMP) income transfers from the Bank of Greece is excluded. Ordinary budget expenditure amounted to €18,366 million, from €18,451 million in January-May 2015.
