Central government net borrowing requirement on a cash basis: January 2011

In January 2011, the central government cash balance showed a surplus of 352 million euro, compared with a deficit of 818 million euro in 2010. During the first month of 2011, ordinary budget revenue increased to 4,961 million euro, from 4,276 million euro in January 2010. Ordinary budget expenditure decreased to 4,240 million euro from 4,379 million euro in January 2010.
