Central government net borrowing requirement on a cash basis: January-June 2017

In January-June 2017, the central government cash balance recorded a deficit of €890 million, compared to a deficit of €526 million in the same period of 2016. During this period, ordinary budget revenue amounted to €20,335 million, compared to €20,690 million in the corresponding period of last year. Ordinary budget expenditure, including expenditure of about €799 million for the repayment of arrears, amounted to €23,962 million, from €22,182 million in January-June 2016.
