Central government net borrowing requirement on a cash basis: January-November 2016

In January-November 2016, the central government cash balance recorded a deficit of €1,423 million, compared to a deficit of €1,902 million in the same period in 2015. During this period, ordinary budget revenue amounted to €43,585 million, compared to €39,934 million in the corresponding period of last year. Revenue of €43 million regarding Securities Markets Programme (SMP) income transfers from the Bank of Greece is excluded. Ordinary budget expenditure, including expenditure of about €3,380 million for the repayment of arrears, amounted to €44,826 million, from €42,230 million in January-November 2015.
