The abecedary of economy for adolescents book follows "The abecedary of economy for children up to 12 years old" and addresses teenagers, the future adults who will soon have to take a series of financial decisions.

The abecedary of economy for adolescents is a publication of the Centre for Culture, Research and Documentation of the Bank of Greece, written by Mr Nikolaos D. Philippas, Professor of Finance at the University of Piraeus, and illustrated by Ms Alexia Lougiaki. 

With this book, the Bank of Greece aspires to contribute to the understanding of basic financial concepts for everyday life.

On the occasion of its 90th anniversary, in 2018, the Bank of Greece published an information booklet entitled “Bank of Greece. Since 1928, the central bank of the Greeks”, aiming to inform the wider public on the main tasks of the country’s central bank.

“The great transformation: Climate – Can we beat the heat?”

On the occasion of the temporary exhibition “Economy and Climate: Handle with care”, a graphic novel was published in printed and electronic form, entitled “The great transformation: Climate – Can we beat the heat”. It is addressed to senior high school students and is a Greek translation of the original German edition “Die große Transformation: Klima - Kriegen wir die Kurve?”, first published in 2013 by WBGU (Wissenschaftlicher Beirat der Bundesregierung Globale Umweltveränderungen – an independent scientific institution that advises the German federal government on issues related to climate change) with the support of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research. It has been translated into several other languages.

It has been written by two German students, David Nelles and Christian Serrer, who were unable to find a book that explained climate change in a simple and enjoyable way and decided to write it themselves. The book comprises vivid illustrations, schematics, easy-to-understand diagrams and even photographs, elements that best document all the information provided.
