The Library of the Bank of Greece offers the users access to a wide range of electronic resources and online databases where the interested parties can search and receive specialized information.

Summon (Proquest):  It is the basic web-scale discovery tool of the Library. It provides a unified concurrent search of the Library’s print and electronic resources (books, e-books, articles, reports, newspapers), through a single point of access. After conducting a search, the patron is prompted to the search results (citation, abstract and altmetrics where available).

Patrons should contact the Library for full text retrieval as well as for results concerning the printed collection (full text access: IP authentication)

E-Journal Portal (Proquest): An alphabetical (A-Z) title list of the e-journals accessible via 

Summon, as its supplementary tool. Search is also available with DOI numbers (access: IP authentication).

WebPAC: The Library’s Online Public Access Catalog containing about 80,000 bibliographic records and 185,000 items (free access).

Knowledge Base: I. Publications: Publications from the Bank’s employees in academic and scholar journals, books, conference proceedings etc. (currently accessible only through the Bank’s intranet).

National Union Catalog of Scientific Journals (National Documentation Centre): Bibliographic data of 100,862 journal titles from 189 libraries in Greece and Cyprus – among them the journals’ collection of the Bank of Greece Library.

Bloomberg Business (Bloomberg): A platform, which delivers business and financial information, news, analyses, and data around the world (accessible only to the Bank’s employees, through specific workstations).

B-maps-IV advanced (B-logica): A system for the Greek objective property values (in Greek, accessible only to the Bank’s employees).

Central Banking (Infopro Digital): News, analyses, opinions, interviews, access to Central Banking Journal and Central Bank Directory (access: username and password).

CreditView (Moody's Analytics): Credit ratings, research, tools and analysis for the global capital markets (accessible only to the Bank’s employees).

Data.Prisma (ICAP CRIF): A business intelligence tool with financial and commercial current and historical data for about 33,000 Greek business entities and also all the necessary tools for aggregating, analysing, profiling and reporting all information provided (accessible only to the Bank’s employees).

eIFRS (IFRS Foundation): Reports, analyses and publications concerning the standards for the world economy published by the IFRS Foundation (accessible only to the Bank’s employees).

EIU Country risk service (Economist Intelligence Unit): Analysis and forecasts of the sovereign, currency, and banking sector risk posed by a country. It monitors emerging and developed markets on a continuous basis using regularly reviewed country risk ratings for 131 countries (accessible only to the Bank’s employees for 31 countries).

EIU Risk briefing (Economist Intelligence Unit): Identification, assessment, comparison, and mitigation of the operational risks involved in doing business in 180 markets. It provides expert analysis, forecasts and data covering a wide range of risk factors (accessible only to the Bank’s employees).

EconLit (Proquest): Bibliographic references of a wide range of economics-related literature of journals, books and collected-volume articles. It is an expanded version of the Journal of Economic Literature published by the American Economic Association. Searchable via ABI / Inform or Summon (access: IP authentication).

Eurointelligence Professional (Eurointelligence): Economic news and analysis of the euro area and coverage of global economic and financial events to the extent that they relate to the Eurozone. Comments and analysis of highly specialist information from national and international information resources, which helps the reader acquire a point of view on each topic (accessible only to the Bank’s employees).

FindBiz (ICAP CRIF): Balance sheets of Greek, Romanian, Bulgarian and Cypriot companies (access: username and password).

Fitch Connect (FitchSolutions): Multi-channel technology platform with reports, analyses, ratings, and information from Fitch credit rating agency (accessible only to the Bank’s employees).

Forin.gr (FORIN Σταματόπουλος): Information on tax, accounting, and commercial law. It includes decrees, acts, legislature, scholar literature, e-books, updates on taxation and implications of tax law (in Greek, access: username and password).

Gartner Magic Quadrant and Critical Capabilities (IT leaders reference multi-user, Gartner Group): Access to Gartner reports for immediate and valid information on the latest market enhanced technological trends as well as, benchmarking of suggested solutions in various technological aspects (e.g. BI analytics) (accessible only to the Bank’s employees).

Knowledge Leader (Protiviti): A repository of audit programs, checklists, tools, resources and best practices for internal audit and risk management data (accessible only to the Bank’s employees).

OLISnet (Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development): The Extranet of the Organisation. Access to official and working documents, publications, statistics, agendas of meetings and committees by the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (access: username and password).

Orbis Bank Focus (Bureau van Dijk, a Moody’s Analytics Company): Statistical data and reports for banks and financial institutions (accessible only to the Bank’s employees).

Orbis Europe (Bureau van Dijk, a Moody’s Analytics Company): Data resource on private companies with comparable information, ownership structures and a holistic view of companies. The subscription covers the European region with 118 million companies (accessible only to the Bank’s employees).

Ratings services (Moody's Analytics): Ratings for international capital markets (accessible only to the Bank’s employees).

S&P Global Ratings (S&P Global):  Ratings for international capital markets (accessible only to the Bank’s employees).

Shipping Intelligence Network (Clarkson Research Services): Access to data, time-series, and reports on the shipping sector (accessible only to the Bank’s employees).

Sustainable and Responsible Investment (SRI): Access to data on climate change and sustainable and responsible investments within the Eurosystem. Data supplied by ISS ESG (International Shareholder Services - Switzerland) and C4F (Carbon 4 Finance - France) (accessible only to the Bank’s employees).

Tax Research Platform (International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation):  A single online portal to all content solutions offered by IBFD. Search, find and use relevant international and national tax information in one simple and intuitive interface (access: username and password).

The Vienna Institute for International Studies (WIIW): Full text access to most of the Institute’s publications providing recent economic data on Central, East and Southeast Europe (access: username and password).

World Energy Balances (International Energy Agency): It contains energy balances for 150 countries and 35 regional aggregates. Conversion factors used to calculate energy balances and indicators (including GDP, population, industrial production index and ratios calculated with the energy data) are also provided. Data are available from 1971 (since 1960 for OECD countries) to 2020. Preliminary 2021 data are available for selected countries, products, and flows (access: username and password).

Institute of Energy for South-East Europe (IENE): Access to the platform of IENE, a think tank for key energy issues in the region providing a range of services covering research, assessment studies, sectorial surveys, educational activities, event organisation and networking (access: username and password).

BIN Insight News and Banknote technology report (Banknote Industry News): Monthly and annual respectively newsletters on the production of banknotes (accessible only to the Bank’s employees).

The Henry Stewart Banking and Finance Journals Collection (Henry Steward Publications): Access to the journals: Cyber security, Journal of digital banking, Journal of financial compliance, Journal of payments strategy and systems, Journal of risk management in financial institutions, Journal of securities operations and custody Journal of business continuity and emergency planning, Journal of Data Protection & Privacy (access: IP authentication plus username / password).

JSTOR (JSTOR part of ITHACA): Full text access to more than 450 journals through three collections, related to economics and business. There is a “moving wall” of 2-5 years representing the period between the last issue available in JSTOR and the last issue of the journal. Keesing Documentchecker (Keesing Technologies): Database with information on banknotes and more than 5,000 international ID documents from over 200 countries and organizations (accessible only to the Bank’s employees).

Wiley Online Library (Wiley): Wiley Social Sciences and Humanities collection. Full-text access to scientific journals on social sciences since 1996. 4 Κώδικες + 55 [4 kodikes + 55] (Nomiki Vivliothiki): Updated information on 49 basic legislation sectors of the Greek legislation including amendments. It deals with civil, administrative, commercial, penal, labour and European law. Available in Greek only (access: username and password).

EUR-Lex (European Union): The online gateway to EU Law. It provides the official and most comprehensive access to EU legal documents. It is available in all of the EU’s 24 official languages and it is updated daily. The Official Journal of the European Union (OJ) is also included in two series: L (legislation) and C (information and notices) (free access).
