The Library is a Section of the Center for Culture, Research and Documentation of the Bank of Greece and is housed on the third floor of the Bank’s Head Office. Part of its collection is housed in the building of the Bank's Data Center in Halandri. It is a special-research library specialized in the science of economics.
The Library's mission is to secure, process and dispose the proper sources of information and knowledge in order to support the Bank's activities and research projects, as well as to make the resources available to the public in order to support the study of Greece’s economic history and its role on the wider economic environment.
The Library’s online catalog (WebPAC) is the basic research tool that enables users to access the Library’s printed resources, while Summon is a tool for unified search that is used for simultaneous research on both the printed and electronic resources of the Library (electronic catalog and databases).
Furthermore, E-Journal Portal provides the opportunity to conduct a search on all serials’ titles of the collection.
